Candy

Candy is the most expensive part of a candy buffet. Knowing what to get and where to get it is the biggest question. Always remember that you only need enough candy for your guest count. This may not give you the large full buffet that you have your heart set on. There are some ways to still get the look without the expense and extra candy.

You must also take the size of your favor box/bag in account too. Guest will pack it to the top so you will have to decide how much of what candy you decide will fill their treat bag.

I will try to post great places to find candy that I have found through research and recommendation. If you have an area you are looking in then please let me know and I will check it out. I am starting with my home state of Oklahoma. I know most about it.

OKLAHOMA-The Bricktown Candy Co in downtown Oklahoma City has a website with super cheap candy options. It is not the easiest page to navigate, but if you don't mind clicking through all the different categories you will be surprised at the cost. If you live local you can order and choose pick up and shipping is FREE!! If not there is a shipping option. Candy is expensive to ship and if you live in a hot climate you may not be able to have it shipped during 90 plus degree weather.

Sam's is always a great place to go. You can find lots of simple things like Hot tamales, gummy bears, giant pixie sticks, etc. at a great price. They are also the cheapest place I have found for gumballs. They carry multicolored gumballs normally, but also have some other selections online. You can order them and have them shipped straight to the store to avoid shipping charges!
